Our Story
Elegance was born from a dream that its owner and principal planner had. Shahzyah has always had a passion for events, through this passion Elegance Event Planning was born in 2007. The company has grown into much more over the years with all of the amazing events that we have been able to be a part of. We believe in customizing packages and experiences to our customer’s specific needs. We work with our clients to plan, design and coordinate their events. We bring their visions into reality.
From a young age principal planner and owner of Elegance, Shahzyah, had a passion for events and began assisting with organizing charity functions, from there this passion blossomed into her dream job. Shahzyah first received an Event Marketing Certification from BCIT followed by a Diploma in Events & Conventions Management from Thompson Rivers University. Shortly after she received her Diploma, she started working at The Vancouver Aquarium as one of their Event Planners and moved on to manage a Convention Centre in the Fraser Valley. Shahzyah has both educational and practical event industry experience and truly has a passion for the industry which led her to begin Elegance Event Planning. She says that seeing guests enjoy the events she helps put together is constantly a way she renews her passion for what she does. Shahzyah specializes in detailed event itineraries and is a fabulous multi-tasker, this makes event planning a breeze when she is leading the team.

Azzra began working in events in 2008 after completing a diploma in Event Management at Thompson Rivers University. She has been working with the Elegance team since the event firm started. Her passion for event and project management along with her visionary approach to planning events lends itself to creating beautiful custom experiences for every client.
Elisa began working in events in 2009 after completing a diploma in Event Management at BCIT and Vancouver Community College. She has worked in the events department at various venues in the city, such as the Vancouver Aquarium, Italian Cultural Centre and Gateway Casinos, before joining the Elegance Event Planning Team. Elisa specializes in designing fabulous events for her clients and has a keen eye for detail.
